  • Why Do Some Concrete Floors Develop Surface Dust or Chalk Residue

    This is called dusting and is caused by a weak wear layer. Often this is due to bleed water being left on the surface or troweled back on during finishing. The surface layer fails to completely cure, causing a soft surface which can flake or become dusty.

  • When Was Vinyl Flooring First Introduced

    Discovered by a French physician in the 19th century, the first experiments in vinyl began in the 1930s when it made its first public appearance at the 1933 exhibition Century of Progress in Chicago, USA.
